WELCOME TO NEW MEXICO!
I have arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico to begin a new chapter in my ukulele adventure. Six years full-time on the road in my Airstream trailer was enough. There is an active ukulele scene in ABQ with at least four ukulele clubs in the area. I've only been here a week and already love it! Stay tuned.

Santa Fe Ukulele & Social Club! Departing head honcho
Craig McClelland is relocating to the midwest, hence the shake-up.The exciting news is the club has been asked to open for the
Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain on March 24 at the beautiful
Lensic Theater in Santa Fe!
The Santa Fe Ukulele and Social Club meets the first and third Monday of each month in the Bourbon Grill at El Gancho, 104 Old Las Vegas Hwy, Santa Fe, NM 87505, from 6-8pm You can follow our exploits

THE NEW UKE-CULINARY FIESTA
Coincidentally,
one week after my arrival in New Mexico Elaine de Man's New Uke-Culinary Fiesta was taking place just an hour up the road from ABQ in Santa Fe. I went up for the Friday night activities which included a performance from the Smoking Jackets featuring Daniel Ward, Heidi Swedberg, Craig McClelland and John Bartlit at Tiny's Dine & Dance. We followed that up with a meal of traditional New Mexican posole at the beautiful El Paradero B & B, home base for the event. Wow! Talk about good eats!
