Watch history be made in Portland on Tuesday, June 4, when the 9th
Circuit
Court hears the suit of 21 children, who seek to address the climate catastrophe and to assert their rights. Join the Rally for a Right to a Livable Future!
Juliana v. United States is a landmark case in the climate justice movement. The Circuit Court will rule on two issues in the youth plaintiffs' case:
- Is the case constitutional, and should therefore be heard by the Supreme Court?
- Will the plaintiffs' injunction be upheld, to stop all new fossil fuel expansion operations in the US until the end of the trial before the Supreme Count of Juliana v. United States?
Are you in the Portland, Oregon, area?
On June 4, join the Rally for a Right to a Livable Future, organized by

Meet the youth plaintiffs here!
In an earlier trial, U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken said: "Exercising my 'reasoned judgment,' I have no doubt that the right to a climate system capable of sustaining human life is fundamental to a free and ordered society."
The WILPF Board recently voted unanimously to collaborate with Our Children's Trust and to sign on to an Amicus Brief, should this case go before the Supreme Court.
