I finally got the February classes posted this past Wednesday morning. Then I went in to teach the 11 folks who are currently in class Wednesdays, and they all signed up for February. Within 12 hours of posting the class, the February Wednesday afternoon time slot was full!

Yes, this is a nice problem for me to have. However, I was planning on just offering 1 course in February, and reserving the rest of the days to work on my own painting. Still, there are the wonderful students who are currently in Monday and Tuesday classes with me - and I felt like they should have a chance to sign up too. Plus folks on this email list. So I've started a waiting list and will run a Tuesday afternoon class on the same topic if enough people want to sign up. Contact me at [email protected] if you have not yet signed up and would like to come on Tuesday afternoons starting mid-February.

There is still room in the Wednesday evening class. That one you can still sign up for on line if you wish. Here's the link:

You may be wondering, so what's the topic for this course? The title is "Collage and Understanding Composition". I am developing 6 new paintings which integrate some collage and also will be good paintings to work through to teach the important principles of good composition. And because composition is a topic to apply to any painting, there will be a variety of subjects and styles presented.

Some will be rather whimsical. This makes for an easy start with the concepts. You can see one of these paintings below.

Let's plan to chase away the February blahs with some fun painting together,
