ANNOUNCEMENTS

First Parish of Norwell will volunteer as the work crew to help build a Habitat for Humanity home in Duxbury on  Saturday, June 1. Working as the “FPN CREW” will give us the shared opportunity to help build a home, and perhaps work with the family who will move in soon! Habitat requires advanced registration for workers and an acknowledgement of receipt of a safety statement; please click   here to complete that. See Joanne Howard for more information or with any questions.

Join us on Sunday, June 2 from 5:30-7 pm for an RE Family Dance! It will be the last event of the year for Youth Group and we have opened it up to all RE families, including parents!  Rev. Lise will be teaching two of the following dances: rumba, waltz or swing. This can be a drop off event for youth ages 12 and up only please. Pizza and drinks will be served. See you there!

Music Sunday will be held on Sunday, June 16 during the church service. The choir will be singing selections from the popular movie “The Greatest Showman”, based on the life of circus owner and UU P.T. Barnum. If interested, you may join us for rehearsals on Wednesday, June 5 and 12 at 7:30 pm, in the Skylight Room. Contact Marie Miller or Gingy Grimes if you are interested.

The All-Church Picnic is Sunday, June 16. All members and friends are encouraged to bring a main dish, a salad, or a dessert to share. RE families will cover set up and clean up. This event is rain or shine!  Email or see Gabe to sign up for food or to volunteer to help with set up. Many hands make light work!

Interested in being a part of RE next year? The theme will be World Religions. We are looking for volunteers to teach the fall or spring session of Holidays and Holy Days (3-6th grades), Neighboring Faiths (7-8th grades) and youth group advisors (SciCohRockWell, FPN middle school, or FPN high school). We hope to have teachers and advisors in place for the soon-to-be-hired DRE. See Gabe, Amanda A. Emily, Debb, or Staci.
