According to the CDC, mental health in childhood means reaching developmental and emotional milestones and learning healthy social skills, and how to cope when there are problems. Click on the blue links to access material about mental health in childhood in English and Español (Spanish).

What is SOC-CESS? SOC-CESS stands for Systems of Care - Community for Early Signs and Symptoms. SOC-CESS is a Missouri state-wide program for youth ages 9-17 and their families. SOC-CESS provides resources and early screening and identification for youth who are potentially at risk for experiencing psychosis and displaying early signs and symptoms. This webinar video, Feeling Safe and Supported While Learning at Home, produced by the Committee for Children, provides a comprehensive overview of trauma-sensitive practices during COVID-19.
FCC Broadband Benefit Program
The Emergency Broadband Benefit to be offered soon through the FCC will provide a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible families and households who are struggling to stay connected during the COVID19 pandemic. Eligible households can also receive a discount of up to $100 for the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.
 
Applications can be submitted beginning on May 12th.  Households can apply in three ways:
 
1. Contact your preferred participating broadband provider directly to learn about their application process.  

2. Go to GetEmergencyBroadband.org to apply online and to find participating providers near you

3. Call 833-511-0311 for a mail-in application, and return it along with proof of eligibility to: Emergency Broadband Support Center, P.O. Box 7081, London, KY 40742

Grades K-6 in Pemiscot County- Summer reading program “Tales and Tails” June 1 – July 29, with on-site and virtual programming. Plenty of prizes, goodie bags, and presentations.
