The NHCC has launched a proposal process to determine the 2019-2020 Performing Arts season. All performing artists who would like to be a part of this season are invited to submit a proposal no later than December 21, 2018. Join us for a free musical event presented with the UNM John Donald Robb Trust that will include an array of new and old music and genres. Featured artists include David F. García, Gregorio Gonzales, Lone Piñon, Lara Manzanares, Jerome Martínez, Brenda Romero, and special guest Frank McCulloch.

Curated by Augustine Romero, La Ultima Exhibición features visual interpretations of Rudolfo Anaya's celebrated book, Bless Me, Ultima. The exhibit has been extended to December 16, 2018.
¡Salud y Sabor! Mundo Latino--Chef Showdown

Don't miss this special Salud y Sabor where three local chefs will face off in a skills test that will leave only one winner. Plus, as always, you will enjoy a free evening of food, art, and entertainment for the whole family!

Please join us and author Dave Gutierrez for a presentation of his book Patriots from the Barrio, where he will relate the true story of Company E 141st Infantry, the only all-Mexican American U.S. Army unit in WWII. This event is part of the La Canoa lecture series, presented in partnership with the UNM Center for Regional Studies.

Every Tuesday at the NHCC is ¡Baile! Casino de Rueda (Cuban Salsa) Dance Class. On November 16 at 9:30 am, join our monthly gathering for colcheras led by Annette Gutierrez Turk. Or, come see Mundos de Mestizaje, Frederico Vigil's fresco depicting thousands of years of Hispanic and pre-Hispanic history, every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.

2018 Winter Spanish Market

Authentic 400-year-old traditions and innovative Spanish Colonial style artwork, made by New Mexico artists. Interact personally with extraordinary artists; learn about their traditions; take home a special purchase to add to a collection or give as a gift.

Come enjoy a one-day celebration of the small paper bag lanterns with sand and candles that some call "farolitos" and others call "luminarias" with a bike parade, lectures, hands-on art and a poetry slam. Plus, purchase a "Team Luminaria" or "Team Farolito" t-shirt. In partnership with Storyriders (Dolores Gonzales, Valle Vista and Hawthorne Elementary Schools) and Artful Life.
NM Jazz Latino Orchestra

In their third performance at the NHCC, the New Mexico Jazz Latino Orchestra again presents a two-part show featuring an opening set of straight-up Latin jazz and a second set fusing the folkloric rhythms of Colombia with jazz elements .
