We’ve made it now to the end of May,
A blessed time to work and pray.
St. Joseph the Worker had his day on the First,
While the last day of the month is by no means the worst.
On that day we remember the visit of Mary
To her cousin Elizabeth, and for a while she did tarry.
She stayed for three months ‘til the birth of St. John,
And then to Nazareth her hometown she went and was gone.
This month of May has flown by oh so fast,
And the showers of April are but a thing of the past.
Well…the rain from last month fell in this month, too,
And at times it was bother to me and to you.
The cold and the chill made it seem not quite spring,
But the glimmer of sunshine was a marvelous thing.
We can be grateful for each moment that the Lord has made,
For the breath that we have and the rosaries prayed.
Our life is a gift from our Father above,
Who sent forth His Son in an act of pure love.
Together they send the Holy Spirit as guide,
To strengthen, inspire, and forever abide.
We ask that our God would bless us today,
Throughout all of our journeys and not only in May.
With His Grace and His Peace and His Mercy again,
‘Til we’re with Him in Heaven for ever. Amen.
