COVID-19: Latest school measures based on state directives
To date, there are no confirmed staff or student cases of COVID-19 in Folsom Cordova schools. Thank you for your patience as we and all schools throughout California work to respond as quickly as possible to a rapidly evolving issue with the best information we have from expert agencies.

The Governor's Office on March 12, 2020 directed public agencies to follow updated public health guidance, including restrictions on public events and large gatherings (250+ participants) to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect community health.

Therefore, the Folsom Cordova Unified School District is taking the actions outlined below. Generally, we are postponing, canceling, or modifying gatherings with large numbers of participants/spectators (250+ participants). In some cases, we are recommending social distancing measures, of which more details can be found here

If at any time one or multiple student(s) or staff member(s) has a positive test for COVID-19, verified by Sacramento County Public Health, the District will work closely with county public health officials to determine potential school closures, following strict guidance issued by the State of California linked hereAt this time, county health officials advise that school closures are not warranted; however, we are working to prepare in case that changes. The length of any school closure will be determined on a case-by-case basis under direction from Sacramento County Public Health

It is essential that anyone who is sick stays home until fully recovered and symptom-free for 24 hours including being free of a fever without the use of fever-reducing medicines. Volunteers and substitute teachers who are considered higher-risk individuals per public health guidelines should not come to school.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our students, staff, families and community members.  We respectfully ask your assistance by following these guidelines. Note:  These measures will be in effect through April 13, 2020 (including Spring Break) and will be modified or extended based on guidance  from public health officials.
