A Note From Dr. Compton
Dear Lions Parents,

Last week I referenced my memories of my first PTO Fall Festival. Knowing that the weather was not in our favor last Friday, I was worried that this year's event was not going to live up to last year's experience. Simply put, my worries were for nothing.

Friday's Fall Festival far exceeded my expectations. This happened for two reasons: our PTO, which includes the countless parent volunteers; and our families.

To our PTO and parent volunteers, thank you all so much for putting on an incredible event. To the 24 parents, including numerous teachers, who volunteered to make the Fall Festival a success, I greatly thank you. There's a quote that comes to mind when I think about these parents: "Nothing you do for children is ever wasted."

To the hundreds of you who braved the cold and rain, THANK YOU!!!! The thought of each of you believing in the potential of the Riverwalk Academy and the Riverwalk Academy PTO, is overwhelming. Each of you made a conscious choice Friday evening to spend time at school. Your actions are powerful, and for that, I greatly thank you.

Parents, all I really can say is "thank you." Thank you all for your trust and support and thank you for carrying the banner for Riverwalk Academy.
Robert Compton, Ph.D.

A special thanks to the vendors who donated their goods and services to the Fall Festival raffle. The night would not have been the same without their contribution.

Also, shout out to the PTO donating all the left over food to Renew Our Community (ROC) Rock Hill .
