Legacy Foundation Fund Donates $300,000
The Legacy Foundation Fund generously contributed $300,000 in support of Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program. Since 2014, the Legacy Foundation Fund has donated $1 million to support various programs at Valley Children's.

"Gifts and generosity, such as the gift provided by the Legacy Foundation, will allow the Valley Children's Residency Program to continue to attract the best and brightest to the Valley.  This gift will afford us the ability to also retain some of our trainees.  We strive to train our own so that we are able to continue the legacy set forth by the Founding Mothers in providing outstanding care to the children of the Central Valley by increasing access to all kids in our 45,000 square mile catchment area," said Dr. Jolie Limon, executive director, medical education.

We are so grateful for their continued investment in Valley Children's and the futures of the children we serve.

Banducci Family Supports Bakersfield Expansion
Rod's Heart is a group of committed Valley Children's supporters primarily from the Buttonwillow and Wasco area (Kern County). The group has generously committed to a gift of $150,000 to support Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center in Bakersfield. Rod's Heart was created by the family and friends of the late Rodney Banducci of Buttonwillow.

Rodney was well-known for his commitment to his family, the agriculture industry and kids. He had a larger-than-life personality and always cared about the children and their future success. The group raises funds through their annual event. Rodney's legacy and larger-than-life heart live on through the group's work and commitment to pediatric care in the Valley.
