Virginia Spirits Month Boosts Sales for Local Distillers
For the second straight year, the partnership among Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC), Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) and the Virginia Distillers Association (VDA), which proclaimed September as Virginia Spirits Month, has continued to drive revenue, lifting sales of Virginia distilled spirits by 20 percent over the same period last year and more than doubling sales at distillery stores over the first year. Distilleries Drive Entrepreneurial Boom in Wyoming
The movement is about building processing infrastructure locally and keeping money circulating in home communities, no matter how modest their size. Chattanooga Whiskey Releases 2018 Native Series Brewery Collaborations
Chattanooga Whiskey announces the release of the 2018 Native Whiskey Series, an annual collaborative series of beer barrel finished bourbons. Spirits Subscription Service Shots Box Officially Launches
Drinks enthusiasts will be able to discover unusual spirits as part of a new monthly subscription service in the U.S., called Shots Box. Shots Box will send subscribers 10 spirit samples every month and aims to connect craft distilleries with drinks fans in 41 states across America. (The Spirits Business)
St. Augustine Distillery Donates $3K for Hurricane Relief
St. Augustine Distillery donated nearly $3,000 to the 4 Star Association for Hurricane Michael relief efforts in Bay County, Florida. Members of the Saint Johns County Sheriff's Office were at the distillery to accept the donation Friday morning. (News 4 Jax) 
Oregon's Ye Ol Grog Distillery Releases Spirits-Infused Ice Cream
Ye Ol Grog Distillery in St. Helens, Oregon makes grog, vodka and—surprisingly—alcohol-infused ice cream. They said it can't be done. Yet, Ye Ol Grog Distillery has never played by the rules. (King 5 News )
