As online shoppers gear up for a season of intensive spending in the run up to Christmas, online fraudsters are also preparing for their busiest time of the year. And they aren't alone! Phone scammers and porch pirates are gearing up for "their" busy season too.
Please join Officer Matt Piper from the Johnstown Police Department as he presents some safety tips on staying safe during the holiday season.

Shelley Carroll is the speaker. Topic is "Why Doing Good Is Good For Business." These are on the 3rd Tuesday every month at Pizza Ranch. These are free and open to the public.

On this day, people are expected to visit the smaller brick and mortar stores-otherwise known as "mom and pop stores".
However, while shopping is the main focus of this holiday, it is not a necessary component. People who want to acknowledge this day can do so promoting it on social media or by recommending your favorite small business to your friends and family.
