Principal's Message
Murwood Families,
Be sure to join us Friday night on the field for our Welcome Back Picnic! It is from 5-7 on the field. DJ Dave will be spinning the tunes and we will have some fun activities for the children. Please remember that this is a school event, so please do not bring alcohol or pets. Thank you to our supportive PTA for sponsoring this event!
Parents of fifth graders: have you completely filled out all your forms for science camp? Next week, our fifth graders take off for a week of outdoor education at Camp Loma Mar in Pescadero. Thanks to all who supported our fundraiser at Chipotle last night!

From the Office
With the cooler weather upon us, the lost and found is beginning to fill up. To ensure we are able to reunite those jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes and water bottles to the correct student, please label, label, label all your child's items.
Absence Notification
If your student is going to be out for any reason, please notify the office directly. There is a 24 hour attendance line for you to leave a message. Simply call the main office number at 925-943-2462. Also, you will receive a phone call from the office in the event your student has an unverified absence. Please be sure to clear any absence for which you receive a call.
Tardy Students
Tardy students must sign in at the office and obtain a tardy slip to give to their teacher.
Home Lunches
Parents we ask that when you pack your student's lunch, to please avoid glass containers of any kind as they are a safety concern. Instead, please use containers little hands can open.
Volunteers
Thank you to all of the volunteers who have been following our procedure by signing in and obtaining and wearing a visitor badge while on campus.

Your PTA is thrilled to hold its Annual "Back-to-School Picnic" on
Friday, Sept 28th from 5pm - 7pm
on the Field. DJ Dave will be playing our favorite jams so bring your dancing shoes! Feel free to pack a picnic to enjoy with friends. Your PTA will provide dessert.
Mrs. Sicotte will be facilitating fun Family Stem Activities!
As this is a Murwood Family Event on school grounds, please no alcohol, smoking or pets are permitted.
We look forward to seeing you all there!

Register today for the 26th Annual Forma Gym Turkey Trot
This Thanksgiving, before the big meal, why not get a little exercise with a few thousand of your friends and neighbors? With kid runs, 10K and 5K options, the Forma Gym Turkey Trot is an event the entire family will enjoy. By participating you will be giving back to WCEF. Forma donated $21,500 to WCEF from proceeds last year. WCEF is honored to once again partner with Forma Gym for this wonderful tradition.
