Clint_s Controls Corner Each month, our Lighting Controls Department Manager, Clint Conley, offers insight and advice about lighting controls. Clint, a licensed professional electrical engineer, brings over 15 years of construction, engineering, and lighting controls experience to the table. He takes the often confusing topic of lighting controls, and presents information in a straightforward and concise manner.

With new LED technology allowing color changing and color tuning, the use of advanced lighting control protocols is becoming more widespread for architectural lighting. The DMX control protocol has been used in theatrical lighting for many years. Architectural lighting manufacturers are now using this protocol on color changing or color tuning fixtures, and many architectural lighting control systems are now offering components to allow a DMX interface for these fixtures. Following is some general information on the advantages and design considerations of DMX control.
LED Specifier Summit Thank You Banner

On September 6, 2018, Denver hosted its first ever LED Specifier Summit at the Colorado Convention Center. With over 600 qualified attendees and 120 manufacturers, the event was the largest inaugural LED Specifier Summit to date!

"The Denver LED Specifier Summit far surpassed all of my expectations," said Mike Ewert, Regional Vice President for Hubbell Lighting. "We had solid, consistent traffic in our booth with great customers who were genuinely interested in the new products and technologies we showcased. The event provided Hubbell Lighting and MH Lighting with the perfect venue to connect with our market and highlight our capabilities as well as make new connections."

Thank You!

The MH Companies would like to extend a sincere thanks to all of our customers and manufacturers who participated in the show and our block party that followed. We look forward to seeing you at the next Denver LED Specifier Summit in 2020!
