The Maryland Society of Surveyors (MSS) recognized interns that completed its summer 2018 Future Surveyors internship program at the society's annual conference on October 19 in College Park, MD.
The MSS Baltimore Chapter began a workforce development program with the office of Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh and Urban Alliance, providing training and education in surveying to high school seniors, as well as summer jobs with firms and local government agencies in surveying.
Bryan Haynie, chair of the Baltimore Chapter and chair of the MSS Workforce Development Committee, lead the program, which as been featured on the cover of
P.O.B. magazine

Membership
The new membership year has begun. If you have not renewed your dues, please do so as soon as possible. Renewal invoices were emailed in early August and three subsequent email reminders were sent prior to the September 30, 2018 expiration date. According to the MSS by-laws if dues are not paid within 90 days (12/31/2018) of the date payable (10/1/2018), a member shall forfeit his or her membership in the society and your account will be suspended. In order to continue taking advantage of the benefits you receive as a member of MSS, such as member discounts at all upcoming events, including meetings, conferences, and education programs, please submit your payment by logging into your account at
