Truckee Community Christmas  Coat Drive Again this year we are supporting Truckee Community Christmas by coordinating the Coat Drive     Starting now  please bring in clean, gently worn or new coats that will be distributed to local families in need this Christmas Season. Leave them in the downstairs living room in the blue "warm coat" bin Set-Up will be on December 14th and Distribution this year will be on December 15th Volunteer Opportunities Available

 The Emergency Warming Center is gearing up for season #4 of caring for our neighbors in need, on the most severe weather nights of the year. Come learn more about this grassroots community effort and the ways you can volunteer in support of the effort! Kids Can Recycling Ministry: Please continue to bring your CRV recycling to COM and support our ministry with Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian of turning garbage into good!  These recyclables are exchanged for money which is being donated to International Health Partners and Hands of Hope to provide life and hope for children in Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

Invite to an Event About Respect and Dialogue ~ Saturday Nov. 10th Here is a great opportunity for a group from our church to attend the Diversity Mixer being held at the Muslim Mosque in Reno. If you are interested in attending please email Evan Chan who would love to form a small group to go! Email Evan Chan with questions and interest "Too often we define ourselves and others by a label: race, religion, culture, gender, disability, politics, age or something else. We're writing to invite your community organization to participate in a diversity mixer called "Ask Me Anything." Centering Prayer  in the Gethsemane House on   Tuesday & Wednesday 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. We start with the daily meditation from Pray As You Go which is music, scripture and contemplation for 10-12 minutes, followed by the remaining 18-20 minutes of silent meditation. Here is a link to Pray As You Go for you to check out and use on your own!  Click Here!

Standing with our Immigrant Students & Families in the Truckee Tahoe Area we rely upon the Family Resource Center of Truckee to have the most relevant immigration information: FRC Immigration Info Link Great news!! Charlotte Carpenter & Stephanie Chan have joined me in our support of United for Action and will be helping us connect with the Family Resource Centers to learn more about how we can support our immigrant neighbors.
