Following an extensive, nationwide search, the Rev. Beth Fain has been named Missioner for Congregational Vitality for the Diocese of Texas. 
Fain, rector of St. Mary’s, Cypress since 1997, will begin the new position in February 2019. Read more here .

Volunteers Needed
Encourage your parishioners to participate in the life of the Church by volunteering at 170 th  Diocesan Council, in The Woodlands, February 21-23, 2019 at the Woodlands Marriott Convention Center. Possible areas in which to help are: checkin, worship, workshops, exhibits, celebration events and business, of course. Please save the dates and encourage your friends to volunteer as well. A link to register as a volunteer will be added to the  Council  web page in the near future.

YogaMass at Parliament of World Religions
The co-creators of YogaMass, the Rev. Gena Davis and the Rev. Dr. John Graham, will celebrate YogaMass with a wider faith community at the 2018 Parliament of the World’s Religions in Toronto on November 4. The Parliament will hold a week-long conference to promote a just, peacefull and sustainable world. Davis developed the YogaMass while rector of Grace, Houston and describes it as a “deeply transformational experience that integrates the mind/body complex with the spiritual life and faith.” The practice is currently held monthly at St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s/San Pablo in Houston and at the Institute for Spirituality and Health a the Texas Medical Center. St. Francis welcomes all who wish to attend a  forgiveness workshop  led by the Rev. Stuart A. The Episcopal Diocese of Texas Formation Office is excited to once again offer the EDOT Youth Pilgrimage to England this summer to 12 th grade students graduating in the Spring of 2019. The pilgrimage will take place on August 3-11, 2019.  The EDOT Youth Pilgrimage will include several visits to both religious and historical sites in towns such as Canterbury, London and Cambridge. This is a wonderful time to explore the Anglican heritage of the church and dive deeper into your personal faith journey.  The application is due  December 1, 2018.
