Fall greetings from the Christian Science Nursing Network Board!
You'll note that we've changed our name to
News & Notices. We feel this adds some accuracy and clarity to our communication with Christian Science nurses.
We have some exciting news to share: the CSNN Board is expanding! We are delighted to announce that three
Journal-listed Christian Science nurses have recently joined the Board: Mary Roadman from Princeton, New Jersey; Spring Shutt from St. Louis, Missouri; Cindy Snowden from Scottsdale, Arizona. Welcome aboard!
Six of the seven current Board members attended a conference for Christian Science nurses in London, England, October 8th-10th. The conference was excellent and we enjoyed meeting the participants, who travelled from all parts of the United Kingdom and Western Europe.
One of our Board members, Alistair Budd, participated in a conference for Christian Science nurses in Toronto, Canada, October 17th-20th. The conference gathered together Christian Science nurses from all parts of Canada and was a strengthening, unifying, and inspiring event.
Thanksgiving in the USA will be celebrated next month. We love these verses from the 2018 Thanksgiving Bible Lesson:
They shall be my people and I will be their God....yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul (Jeremiah 32: 38 they, 41).
We give thanks for your service to God and to our Cause and rejoice that God has "planted" each of us in our own unique place to serve as a Christian Science nurse.
