  • Buy your yearbook! It's a great time to order a yearbook. Prices will increase later in the year so now is the time to get the best price! It's also a good idea to consider buying a yearbook ad now. Ads tend to sell out, so it's better to reserve your space sooner than later! Visit yearbookforever.com to order.

Woodland Students Begin Literacy Events

Through an investment by Tyson Foods and Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, our students at Woodland and Ramay will begin literacy events that will encourage them to become more engaged in reading.

Students will read The Crossover, a novel by Kwame Alexander that mixes basketball with family and coming-of-age themes to tell an uplifting story. The project will culminate with a school SKYPE presentation by Alexander in November to discuss his book with students.

We want to make sure all students (7th and 8th) are provided a copy of The Crossover to keep and take home. Please consider making a gift to ensure all Ramay and Woodland students have their own copy!

Chipotle Spirit Night

Mark your calendars and take dinner off your to-do list!

Chipotle will host Woodland's second spirit night of the year at their location at 3379 North College this evening from 5-9:00 p.m. Tell the cashier you are supporting Woodland Junior High School to make sure 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Woodland!
XC Cowgirls Took 1st at Chile Pepper
Congratulations to the Woodland Girls Cross Country Team for beating out 39 other teams and winning the Junior Girls title at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival this past weekend! The Cowgirls were led by 8th grader Carson Wasemiller, who won the Junior Girls individual title, and Kenja Dresel who took 3rd place. Carson's 5K time of 20:22 is a new Woodland record and ranks her 14th in the state this season for grades 8-12.
