Women Entrepreneurship Week Conference 

A day of inspiration and motivation for female founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, corporate women, millennials, students and anyone who wants to take a risk and launch a new venture. Conference will feature short TEDx-style talks from the Garden State’s top women entrepreneurs from a variety of industries. A corporate panel will include execs from Google, WeWork, PSE&G and more. A panel of funders will offer advice and tips about how to raise capital. Last year, more than 400 people (mostly women) attended the conference, and the event offers some of the best networking in New Jersey!

Event is free and open to the public. Men are welcome, and encouraged to attend.

8:00-8:45 a.m. – Networking and continental breakfast

8:45-9:15 a.m. – Welcome remarks by Susan Cole, president of Montclair State; Mimi Feliciano, founder and CEO of FEM Real Estate; Kimberly Hollister, vice dean of Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State.

9:15-10:15 a.m. – "Being Innovative in the Corporate World"
Panelists include: Emma Aer, former CEO of Finlandia Cheese; Maria Comella, global head of regional public affairs and policy for WeWork; Carley Graham Garcia, Head of External Affairs for Google; Kim Hanemann, Senior VP of Electric Transmission and Distribution at PSE&G; Pearl Pugh, VP, Global Commercial Leader, for Rheumatology and Dermatology at Johnson & Johnson.  Moderator: Kelley Holland, business journalist and coach.

10:15-11:10 a.m. – "Inspiration from Female Founders" (Part I)
Short TEDx style talks about the founder's entrepreneurial journey. Speakers include: Michelle Bajwa, co-founder, Domain Computer Services (Starting a business in college); Liz Vilchis, CEO, latinoTech (Validating customer needs); Nicki Radzely, co-founder, Doddle & Co. (Product design); Hakika DuBose, founder, Kika Stretch Studios (Expanding your business)

11:10-11:30 a.m. – Networking break

11:30-12:25 p.m. – "Show Me the Money: Tips from Funders"
Panelists include: Karen Cahn, founder & CEO, iFundWomen; Ita Ekpoudom, partner at GingerBread Capital; Kelly Ford, partner at Edison Partners. Moderator: Kathleen Coviello, VP at New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

12:25-12:45 p.m. – Casual lunch is served; networking break

Park in the Red Hawk Deck on campus, exit the deck on Level 5 and proceed straight up the walkway (soccer field will be on your left). At the Feliciano School of Business building, go up the outdoor staircase. University Hall will be straight ahead once you reach the top of the steps.
