October has helped us fall into a great rhythm here at Bailey & Wyant, PLLC. 


Our Managing Member, Charles R. Bailey met the infamous Hercules at Yeager Airport (CRW).  


The 18-month-old border collie is trained to protect hte public at Yeager Airport (CRW) by chasing birds and other animals off the runway. 


While on the job, Hercules wears a reflective vest, safety glasses and ear protection. 
Of Counsel, Josef Horter received a victory in court

Of Counsel, Josef Horter secured enforcement of  settlement agreement wherein the adverse party refused to pay pursuant to the terms of the agreement.

Member, Oko-ogua goes to Washington for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 

Member, Suleiman O. Oko-ogua attended the second meeting for the 2018 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows class in Washington, D.C. this month. 

Launched in 2011, LCLD's landmark Fellows Program works by identifying high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds and setting them on the path to leadership of their organizations. The LCLD program's goal is to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large. 

Oko-ogua is the only LCLD Fellow from West Virginia. 
Yeager Airport's Salute to Our Veterans & First Responders Air Show for WV 
We had many Bailey & Wyant families attend the WV Airshow at our beloved Yeager Airport. The Day was a little gloomy with the rain, but the kids loved being able to get inside some of the planes and feel like pilots!

Jessica L. Harper

Jessica L. Harper, works in the Charleston office of Bailey & Slotnick. She attended Marshall University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2012. 

She then attended Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio where she graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor in May 2016. 

While attending law school Jessica worked at the Family and Youth Advocacy Center Clinic as a certified legal intern assisting with adoptions and cases involving foster youth. 

She was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio on November 7, 2016. She returned home to West Virginia after graduating law school and began working at Bailey & Slotnick, PLLC performing title examinations and foreclosure auctions. Jessica was admitted to practice law in the State of West Virginia on October 10, 2018. She is married and recently welcomed her first child.
