Congratulations to Habitat Homeowner Helen Gaffney for paying off her mortgage!
On December 9, Helen Gaffney came by our office to receive the good news that she had paid off her Habitat Home! This is such a huge accomplishment and a testament to all our hardworking families. Thank you to all our donors, volunteers, and sponsors who helped to make this possible!
This community meeting is one of the first steps in getting the Habitat Village approved with the City of Denton and will offer a space for community members to ask questions and make comments regarding the development. The Habitat Village, located in Southeast Denton, will establish 35 new affordable homes, while requiring the installation of new streets, sidewalks, utilities, and other infrastructure.

Service Spotlight: Outgoing Board Members, Art Locke and Brian Strohl, and Board Member of the Year, William R. Wright
This month, we celebrated Board members Art Locke and Brian Strohl for their distinguished service and commitment to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County, as they are finishing their Board terms at the end of this year. Art Locke is a past president of the organization, and Brian Strohl is leaving his current role as secretary. Thanks to these two Board members' contributions, Habitat has been able to carry out our mission to build homes, communities and hope in Denton County.

We also honored William R. Wright as 2020 Board Member of the Year! William has been a tremendous asset to us this year in many areas, but most significantly in purchasing our University property, as well as launching our Habitat Village and the ReStore remodel. We don't know what we would do without his energetic willingness to serve this organization.
ReStore Parking Lot Sale THIS FRIDAY!
While the ReStore shut its doors at the initial onset of the pandemic, our dedicated ReStore team members have worked tirelessly to keep the ReStore open safely for the last six months. All proceeds from the ReStore go directly toward Habitat's work of building homes in the community, so we are incredibly grateful for the ReStore staff and all the hard work they do that can sometimes go unnoticed.

In light of this, the ReStore is hosting an all-day, outdoor parking lot sale THIS FRIDAY, December 18 from 10AM - 6PM! Come on out this Friday and check out the ReStore's biggest sale of the year! Thank You! Kendra Scott Event & T-shirt Fundraiser
THANK YOU to all who participated in the Kendra Scott Giveback event last month! Thanks to your support, we generated almost $3,000 in one night. And thanks to the generosity of Kendra Scott, Habitat for Humanity of Denton County received 20% of that revenue back! We are so grateful for our community who joins us in seeking to put God's love into action, as we bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Another THANK YOU to all who ordered shirts through our T-shirt fundraiser! Thanks to you, we sold almost 50 shirts. We're excited to see you all at our future build sites in Habitat style! Did you miss the T-shirt fundraiser? Don't worry - there's a rumor our store may open back up this Spring, so keep an eye out!
