2020 Christmas Tree Recycling
Each holiday season the US spends over $1 billion dollars on fresh-cut trees. They brighten our homes, infuse the air with merriment, and after a few days or weeks, out they go.
Enter Chicago's Christmas Tree Recycling program. The benefits of recycling/mulching trees are twofold: nutrients from the trees are preserved and given back to the soil, while tons of valuable organic material is diverted from landfills. Norwood Park located at 5801 N. Natoma Avenue will serve as a drop off location. For more locations and information on the program please *CLICK HERE*

Participate from January 4th - 18th, 2020

2020 Shared Cost Sidewalk Program
The Chicago Department of Transportation will open the 2020 shared cost sidewalk program on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 6:00 am. The shared cost sidewalk program is an extremely popular voluntary program in which property owners share the cost of sidewalk repair with the City. Applications are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis based on the availability of funds.
At 6:00 am on January 7th, our staff will start entering applications into the 311 system. We hope to get every 41st Ward applicant accepted into the program. To apply please contact the ward office at ward41@cityofchicago.org or (773) 631-2241 and provide the following information by January 6, 2020.
  • Name, Address, Phone Number and Email (if applicable)
  • Sidewalk location (in front or side - if corner)
