Posh Launches Fundraiser Campaign

PHILIPSBURG - POSH as the pageant producers of the Carnival Pageants, has launched a fundraiser campaign in order to raise the financing needed for the 2019 pageants and prizes. The not for profit Foundation kicks off their fundraiser frenzy with a Halloween special entitled “Fright Night” at Emilio Wilson Park on Halloween night October 31st, 2018 at 8 PM. The evening will consist of the feature the film “The Conjuring” on an 16 foot inflatable outdoor screen. There is a $5.00 cover charge at the gate and there will be various eats, drinks and treats on sale for guest to enjoy while viewing the film.

Another facet of the Foundation's ongoing fundraising campaign is the PoshOlogy 2019 all male and all female calendar. POSH is busy selling ad spaces for the business community have an opportunity to reach the masses with 1500 copies of the 2019 all male or all female 12-month calendar. POSH is asking company decision makers to support them with this venture as they work diligently to secure funding.

Professionals and experts who can be of service to the 2019 Delegates are encouraged to advertise their services with POSH in the 2019 POSH Pageant Guide. The guide will be presented to the 30 registrants spread over the five (5) tiers of pageants POSH will be producing next year. POSH recognizes the need for the arts, fashion and beauty industries to connect on the pageant platform. POSH aims to expand the industry of pageantry and thus, works to structure all key players for success.

For the Golden year of Carnival, POSH is adamant that our students should be a part of the cultural event. The registration for Elementary and High schools has been extended for them to register King and Queen representatives. POSH believes the participation of schools is a team building and united activity for the students, teachers, faculty and staff. Each school shall gather to help their representatives prepare for the preliminary shows like the POSH Interview Debate Competition, the Sports wear competition and then the finals competitions which will be held in March 2019. All parents, schools, school boards are encouraged to support this initiative and to register their Kings and Queens by or before Friday, November 2nd, 2018.

Over the next few months, POSH will continue to launch fundraiser events and activities for the general public and business communities to support. POSH wishes to remind all that POSH is an independent entity with the concession to host the Carnival pageants, as such sponsorship and donations made directly to POSH is greatly needed and appreciated. Pageantry is a sport, support the pageants.
