THE SEASON'S PROGRESS REPORT
This season has proven to be a little different from past seasons. First, we began catching fish with more consistency in July. A little earlier than past years. During July and early August it seemed like it rained 1"-2"every day which changed the water salinity. When August arrived, we kept catching them but not in big numbers. Then we had a full moon and a northeast wind simultaneously on August 25 and the numbers started increasing as more fish arrived. But more fish brought more boats that scatter the fish. Its not uncommon to catch a fish early, followed by several boats coming into your area scattering the fish and shutting down the bite. This makes us go hunting again. When we find the fish with few boats in sight, the numbers go up. We all own the water and the fish equally, but if you see another boat fishing an area, give them a wide passage. This helps us all and creates more hook-up opportunities for everyone. This is our prime time so if you want to catch one, don't hesitate and come on over.
