CARVER CENTER'S HISTORY IN PORT CHESTER
Robert S. Brown Profiled

The @ryerecord has published an important article, "Honoring Local Black Leaders". This is part one of a two-part series. It profiles the many significant contributions that Robert S. Brown, one of the founders of the Carver Center (1943), made to the community. Carver's CEO, Anne Bradner, CEO, was interviewed for the article. https://ryerecord.com/honoring-local-black-leaders/
CARVER MARKET NUMBERS
Feeding Our Community
Our Carver Market distributions continue to be an important resource for the people of Port Chester. During the month of February, we distributed food to 1,136 households. That equated to 3,681 children, adults and seniors. We continue to work with @Caritaspc (#mealsonmainstreet) and @FeedingWestchester to provide healthy, food to our families-in-need.
MORE VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Redemption Community Church

Our friends, including some hardworking children, from Redemption Community Church, packed baskets of much-needed items for our new Moms in Port Chester. We distributed on March 18.
HELP FOR NEW MOMS!
Thank You Congregation KTI!

Thank you to Rabbi Ben Goldberg and the members of Congregation KTI for your wonderful donation. So many of our Port Chester families will benefit from your donation. (pictured from left to right Mariela Cohen Sabban & Rabbi Goldberg.)
CARVER MARKET HELP
Greek Philoptochos Society
Our volunteer opportunities remain limited right now but we are very happy that Alexandra Speres, Vicki Kyriakos and Agathy Gerkis stopped by to help pack bags for our Carver Market distribution. Thanks to the Greek Philoptochos Society for being an ongoing supporter of the Carver Center.

ROCK ON PORT CHESTER STUDENTS!
Making Beautiful Music Together

Carver Center has started a pilot program with SoundWaves and Rock Island Sound to offer Port Chester students in grades 5-12, pay-what-you-can music lessons. Beginner guitar, intro to drumming and ukulele, are some of the offerings.
Carver Center is providing the space. All workshops are 45-minutes long with all safety protocols in place. We're thrilled that our Port Chester children are getting access to high-quality music education.
