Dear Parents of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,
Many thanks to those who attended the State of the School meeting this past Wednesday morning. It was fun to celebrate the successes of this year and look forward to exciting things to come in 2020-2021! For those who were unable to attend, I want to take this opportunity to share some highlights and updates. As we are in the midst of enrollment season and preparing to screen new students tomorrow, I am thrilled to share that we are at our highest retention rate in recent years with a current retention rate of 92% with openings only in Pre-K4, Kindergarten and 4th grade. If you happen to know families looking for a Catholic education for their children in these grades, please spread the word about our school.
Thank you, also, to all who came to our STREAM Night last night. We thought this would be the perfect way to celebrate our new status as an Archdiocesan-recognized
STREAM Synergy
school. We were honored to host four Houston Museum of Natural Science exhibits as well as our own Star Lab and science experiments. Special thanks to Emily Domingo, Katie Tressel, Laura Foy, Ann-Marie Dalton, Therese Abib, Abby Smith, Meghan Preuss, Robert Barnes, Nestor Cayanan, Suzanne Ettman, Mary Cunningham, Caitlyn Surkein and Colette Carson for making this hands-on STREAM event possible for our families.
Finally, thank you also to all who participated in Steps for Students last weekend. That was the largest St. Anthony of Padua team ever! Thanks to the Doucet family for providing our light blue shirts that helped our running Dolphins stand out in the crowd.
Only by His Grace,
Veronica Tucker
