Waffles and wisdom with Utah's legislators
February brought the start of Utah’s 2020 Legislative Session, which meant it was time for us to get back to the hill for our annual Envision Utah Legislative Breakfast! We spent the morning with our state legislators sharing delicious waffles and ensuring that the Your Utah, Your Future vision remains at the forefront of their minds throughout this year's session.

Ari Bruening, Envision Utah CEO, gave a brief presentation on some of Envision Utah’s current and upcoming projects like Disaster Resilience, Valley Visioning, and our Vision for Teacher Compensation before introducing Utah Senate President Stuart Adams. President Adams spoke about the importance of planning for our growth and understanding where it might take us. Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson closed the breakfast, noting the importance of Envision Utah’s role to push Utahns and our legislators to think about the long-term needs of our state, ensuring Utah remains an amazing place to call home—now and in the future!

Thank you to all who attended for making it another great breakfast and for all the work you do!
