Vegan Spirituality Forum and Retreat
2020 VISION: A World that Works for All
At Unity Village, September 10-13, 2020

Calling all spiritually minded vegans, vegetarians and curious omnivores! Enjoy three days of inspiration, learning, renewal and collaboration as we co-create a world that works for all beings on the planet. Experience the sacredness of the Unity Village grounds, home of the Unity movement where co-founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore pioneered and advocated for ethical vegetarianism in the early 1900's. Participate in the awakening of consciousness in the heart of our nation.

Maybe you've been to vegan or animal rights events and no one gets the spiritual connection. Or you've experienced your spiritual/religious gatherings and no one gets the "Compassion for All" connection. This event is for you. It is a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with spiritually minded people who understand the connection between compassion and how we treat all beings and want to launch the conversation into the world. Together we will create something remarkable because the momentum is building and humanity's heart is maturing.

Programming Includes:

* Spiritually centered vegan speakers and leaders-Dr. Will Tuttle, Victoria Moran, Dr. Lisa Kemmerer, and Dr. Milton Mills
* Inspirational talks on the connection between our relationship with animals and spiritual living, human social justice issues, world peace, sustainability and feminism
* Workshops and dialogue on how to effectively bring the message of universal love and kindness to your communities and rely on principles of abundance to support your advocacy and/or ministry work
* Connection/collaboration with others who believe that Unity includes everyone, not just our own species
* Animals and World Religions traveling exhibit guided by curator Dr. Lisa Kemmerer
* Viewing and discussion of A Prayer for Compassion, a feature length documentary that inspires and encourages spiritually-minded people to expand their circle of compassion to embrace all life
* Yoga, meditation, labyrinth, walking trails for renewal, restoration and self-care
* Rituals and Sunday service to heal planetary consciousness, awaken humanity and honor our animal brothers and sisters
* Fantastic plant-based meals curated by acclaimed vegan chef Sandra Sellani

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES

Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life,
God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.

CORE VALUES

Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in  all we do.

Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to
see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole
human family.

Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity,
we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.

Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.

Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.

Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.

Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
