The iBudget Waiver is critical for the survival of thousands of Floridians

After hearing from nearly 2,000 Florida citizens who receive iBudget Waiver services, Florida's only public specialized health insurance program for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, FDDC has officially launched the Save the iBudget Waiver public advocacy campaign. 

At www.ibudgetwaiver.com FDDC provides materials and messages for Florida's citizens to share and use to educate the Legislature on the importance of this critical program.
How You Can Get Involved


Understand what saving the iBudget Waiver means to 35,000 Floridians. View our video, read our talking points and use available materials located on our campaign website.
Share our campaign resources such as postcards and fact sheets with legislators. Include a brief personal story on what the iBudget Waiver services mean to you.

Attend meetings at your legislator's local offices as well as Tallahassee committee meetings. Be prepared to briefly testify on what would happen if you did not have iBudget Waiver services. You can search for your state representative here or your state senator here.

The iBudget Waiver is a health insurance program that serves nearly 35,000 individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

It is funded by federal and state dollars through Medicaid - the only public health insurance program available to people with disabilities - and provides critical, specialized long-term services that are not available through standard Medicaid managed care providers or private health insurance companies. 

Florida has the fourth-largest economy in the United States, yet currently ranks 49th in Medicaid spending to provide services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Legislature must understand the iBudget Waiver's critical importance in people's lives.
