CHRISTMAS AT MOUNT HOPE
Have you ever received news that you were pretty excited about, but others around you did not respond in the same way? We all respond to things differently. While some responses are pretty tame, some of them can be life changing. When Jesus was born, some rejoiced and some were pretty upset. The news of Jesus' coming is a blessing to some but disruptive to others.
So why do we respond in the way that we do?
This week, we look at the carol "O Come All Ye Faithful," as we explore the right way to respond to Jesus' arrival.
Christmas Carols are virtually all around us during this season. We hear them everywhere - on the radio, in malls, and waiting rooms, etc. While them may seem commonplace, they declare a grand message: The Messiah has come! If you missed Sunday's sermon, take some to
listen here
to see how we should and can react to the good news of Jesus' birth.

NEIGHBORHOOD CHRISTMAS GATHERINGS
Often within the church body, people live near one another and don't even realize it! We go about our everyday business and don't know that there are others who are a part of Mount Hope right outside our door. This holiday season, we are taking time to connect with our neighbors and get to know them better. To that end, you are invited to one of our several Neighborhood Christmas Gatherings. You may attend the gathering closest to where you live. The gatherings will take place between Dec. 08-21. Please click the button below to see where the gatherings are taking place and to RSVP.

THANK YOU TO OUR PASTORS
I believe we can all agree that our Pastoral Staff goes above and beyond to care for the congregation of Mount Hope 365 days a year. Each one of them, throughout the year, takes the time to listen to us, visit us when we are sick or in need, walk us through difficult journeys, and encourage us. They preach the Word of God each and every week and most importantly, pour their hearts out in prayer for us as a church body. We want to take some time to thank them. This season of the year is a beautiful time to reflect on the way the Pastors of Mount Hope have blessed you and your family this past year. There are some mailboxes set up in the hallway for each of the pastors at Mount Hope. Please take some time to simply drop them a note to thank them for their diligence, direction and love for Mount Hope. Thank you for taking the time to bless them.

Our children are a gift from the Lord! As parents, we often need help along the way to raise children who glorify God and positively impact the world around them. As we come across resources and tools that we find helpful regarding parenting and/or family related topics, we like to share them with the parents in our community.

When we get married, we all hope to have a marriage that thrives and is full of joy. But as we experience life, we realize that this takes hard work and we often help from those who've "been there." Whether you're just starting out, have been married for a while and need some encouragement, or doing well in your marriage, this ministry is for you!
