Help ensure the accuracy of your entry in the 2020 HBA Pictorial Roster. Come to the HBA office any weekday through December 13, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to proof your information. Call (713) 759-1133 with questions.
Hire Your Next Great Summer Intern Through HBA D&I Program
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee connects outstanding diverse first-year students at local law schools with summer employment opportunities at law firms, corporations, government offices, courts, and nonprofits.
If your organization is interested in interviewing candidates for a summer 2020 clerkship position through this program, please submit the electronic form at www.hba.org/di20, and download the employer information packet.
HBA Releases 2019 Judicial Evaluation Results
On December 5, the HBA released the results of its 2019 Judicial Evaluation Questionnaire. Click here to see the results. 
HBA/Habitat: Make a Family's Dreams Come True in 2020
Help the HBA Habitat Committee raise $75,000 to fund its 23rd home build by January! HBA Website to Add New Features in January
On Monday, January 20, 2020, the HBA website will launch new features as part of a larger transition to a new member management and database system. In order to protect our members' information, passwords will not automatically transfer to the new database. Please watch for an email on or after January 20 with information on how to update your HBA website login.
Give At-risk High Schoolers a Leg Up!
The HBA is partnering with Communities In Schools Houston to provide summer internship opportunities to students in at-risk local high schools. Click here to submit an employer application online.
Become a Law Week Fun Run Sponsor & Support The Center for Pursuit
The HBA Law Week Fun Run Committee is seeking sponsors for the 35th 8K race on February 15 at Sam Houston Park Downtown benefiting The Center for Pursuit. Silver race sponsors are recognized on race shirts (see deadline), social media posts, the official race website, HBA publications and press materials, announced at the race, and thanked on signage and in race packets. Gold sponsors also receive a free team, reserved space for a tent, opportunities to distribute items to registrants, top recognition, and their logo on the shirt. Judge McClure Investiture Set for Dec. 20
Attorneys, colleagues and members of the judiciary are invited to attend the investiture ceremony of the Hon. Jesse McClure as judge of the 339 th District Court on Friday, December 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the 17th Floor Ceremonial Courtroom of the Civil Courthouse.
