A Note from Pastor Randy
Roller Coaster

Don’t you feel that’s what life is? I t seems that things are looking up one day and we see a sense of normalcy returning and then BOOM… another month of safer at home, limited crowds, confusion with schools and ever-changing schedules. I know it is very frustrating and wearisome to all of us. The culture is acting out and politics are being played with our health and economy. Trouble, it seems, is everywhere.

But, we were told that we would have trouble…Jesus said it, “in this world you will have trouble.” But let’s look at the whole verse of where He says this: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.” See that? Before Jesus mentions the trouble, He mentions the peace! Then following the statement about the trouble He says, “But take heart, I have overcome the world”!!! He has the trouble caged up with his peace and power! Church, let that sink in!! Stop thinking about what you are going do in these times but who are you going to TRUST?

I am taking John 16:33 to heart and I am going to “sandwich” my fear, trouble and worry between His peace and power! How does the peace and power find its way into our lives? Through His word: “These things I have told you.” Peace and Power are found in His Word. Fight fear and worry one page at a time! I hope you are reading and following the devotionals sent out daily. Reading through the Word together keeps us together during these uncertain times. This week in the preached word we will begin to look at the life of Moses. His life is fascinating as he converses with God, sees God’s power, and even receives His rebuke. The whole story continues to point ahead to THE GREATER MOSES.
Stay strong, stay in the Word!

Love you and pray for you daily,

Randy
