Our Faith Family

The daughters of CUUC member Barbara Lowney report that her leukemia has returned and her doctors say she has a short time left. They ask for your continued prayers and positive thoughts as Barb moves into this final phase of life. From Christine and Liz: "Thank you for all of your support, love, and prayers during this intense and difficult time. We appreciate everything, and though mom has not always had the strength to respond to every card, text, phone call, and email, she has told us how much it all means to her, and we know she feels all of your love. She loves you too."

Welcome our New "CRE"!

The DRE Search Committee and the Board of Trustees of CUUC are happy to announce the appointment of Michele Rinaldi in the new role of Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE). Michele has previously served as an administrator in human services, a director of an animal welfare shelter, a school administrator, and a special education teacher. Michele's position as CRE is 3/4 time. We are also happy to announce that our previous Director of Religious Education, Perry Montrose, will be assuming a new 1/4-time role as Director of Faith Development (DFD). We look forward to Perry's continuing his involvement as part of our RE program transition. The DRE Search Committee will continue to review the structure of the RE program with the goal of developing a program that fits the needs of CUUC, and will be searching for RE leaders for the 2019-2020 year.

Share the Plate for July & August: Unirondack & Rowe Camps

This summer we shared half our non-pledge collection with the camps at Unirondack and Rowe . We supported the Unirondack Campership Program and Rowe Center's Woodside Scholarship Fund, which seek to make their UU camp experiences available to every child and youth, and to promote economic diversity in their camp programs. Learn more HERE and HERE.
Process for a Share-the-Plate Request

There is no shortage of worthy causes, and as much as we wish we could honor all requests, there are only twelve months in the year. Please make your Share the Plate requests to the Social Justice Coordinating Committee (see Contacts below). We give priority to organizations that have a longtime relationship with CUUC and our Social Justice Teams... Read more HERE.
