As the Lenten journey continues, we are reminded to 'take up' - rather than 'give up' - during these 40 days before Easter. We have 12 days to go!
Our Discipleship Committee has issued a Lenten Challenge, in which we are asked to focus on taking up acts of kindness – and asked that you share them. We hope you will consider that (to info@fpc-bethlehem.org), and let us know if you prefer to remain anonymous.
Did you print a copy of the Lenten bingo card we sent along? There is a kid version and one for adults. Here's one (right) that was sent to us by a young friend!
We encouraged you to print a copy of the Lenten calendarand use it to record acts of kindness that you give to others - or that you receive. If you have one to share (even though it's not done), we'd love to see it!
See what other folks have already shared - and here are a couple of new submissions to inspire you:
London Conard filled the feeders at her house, making the neighborhood birds happy!
Bob Hunsicker writes, "Here's me, vaccinating for the Bethlehem Health Bureau in South Bethlehem, in an attempt to earn my way to heaven."
FOR THIS SUNDAY, PALM SUNDAY:
We are planning an outdoor combined service at 11 a.m. Please let us know if you are planning to attend by filling out this short online form.
We are watching the weather for this Sunday, so be sure to check our website or Facebook page for updates before heading out.
If you attend in person, you will be able to pick up a mini loaf of homebaked bread (made by members of the Congregational Life Committee). It can be used for communion on Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday.
If you do not pick up a mini loaf this Sunday, you are invited to drive by the front of the church building on Thursday, April 1 between 10-11 a.m. for curbside pickup.
And if neither of those options work for you, please contact us at CongLife@fpc-bethlehem.org to make arrangements!
