Baptism Preparation Class
We have our baptismal prep sessions every other month. Anyone who is anticipating the birth of a child and has not had the baptismal prep session within the past 5 years is required to attend. You may attend prior to or after the birth of your child. The next session will be:  Thursday, September 6 at 6:30 pm in the rectory basement.
Baptisms may be scheduled the first or third weekend of the month. Any questions please contact Sister Annette (233-3500).
Parishes' School of Religion
The first class of the Parishes’ School of Religion is Sunday, September 9 from 8:45 – 10:15 am and Wednesday, September 12 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. If you are interested in registering, please call 618-234-4958.
This year will be a year for students to learn their faith, love their faith and live their faith.
Upcoming Adult Faith Formation
Thank you to everyone who completed our recent adult faith formation surveys. We were very gratified to see the interest in our upcoming programs: The Bible Timeline and Catholicism: The Pivotal Players . Registration for the programs will begin in September. Please watch the bulletin for details.

Our next Young at Heart Dining Out will be on Wednesday, September 12 at 12:30 pm at Bamboo Valley . Come out and enjoy good food and fellowship. Hope to see you there!

Catechetical Sunday
At the 11:00 am Mass on September 16 we will recognize all of the teachers, catechists and coordinators who instruct, evangelize and guide our children, youth and adults in the parish. As a community, we will send them forth with a blessing for the year. The following people will be acknowledged:

 Youth Ministry Leaders
 RCIA Catechists & Sponsors
 Children’s Liturgy of the Word Catechists
(If you are a teacher, leader or catechist in one of these groups, please come forward after the homily to receive a blessing)

Calling all pro-life advocates! 40 Days for Life is the largest, international pro-life mobilization, and we are trying to help it become even greater in our area! For 40 days (September 26 thru November 4), we will be holding a vigil that includes prayer, fasting, and community outreach.  We are in need of volunteers for many aspects, but especially to hold vigil hour(s) during these dates. Our Cast the Vision/ Kick Off Party is Monday, September 17 from 7pm-8pm at Coffee with Christ (6 Wade Square, Belleville, IL 62221). Everyone is invited, and there is no need to RSVP.
