July 2018
Dear Friends,
This month I am pleased to share my space with Tammy Schuster, who has provided us with her monthly report about the Laundry Love ministry. I want to emphasize the importance of this ministry, which has touched so many lives since it began just a few years ago. All who rely on Laundry Love are treated with dignity and respect, and it’s amazing what some quarters, laundry soap, and a warm smile can do for people who struggle to make ends meet. This is a hands-on ministry that makes a real difference to those in need. Tammy’s report has some suggestions for ways you can help, and I hope many of you will take a personal interest in this ongoing outreach.
Faithfully yours,
Lu-Anne

Laundry Love Outreach is thriving in St Charles County! We are now fully seeded at three locations, serving those in need of clean clothes and encouraging words, on the first, second and fourth Tuesday of each month. This ministry runs on quarters and volunteers. How can you help?

Donations are gladly accepted. Quarters (or bills😊) can be placed in the red washing machine on the Coffee Bar. These funds support the growing Laundry Love outreach.
Volunteers are always welcome! It takes two people to staff each location, so every month six volunteers are needed. It’s easy and requires no advanced training! We are looking for volunteers to staff the Sept- Dec laundry locations now. Please let Tammy Schuster know if you are interested.

So what have our quarters and volunteers provided during April, May and June? Our eight dedicated volunteers have helped with 425 loads of wash! A special SHOUT out to: Jennie Kelly, Mark Schuster, Kerry Quinlisk, Pam Fadler, Alice Foster, Claire Reynolds, John Purcell, and Larry Hopen! We couldn’t do this without you! THANKS A BUNCH!
Contact Tammy Schuster if you have any questions, or if you would like to volunteer.  Tammy.Schuster4@gmail.com
Happy 4th of July

School Supplies:  Once again it is time to collect school supplies for the students at LINC.  While we focus on wide-ruled loose-leaf paper, spiral notebooks, and folders with prongs, all school supplies are welcome.   School supplies generally go on sale in early July at stores such as Walmart, Target, and Office Max.  Collection bins will be in the Narthex, beginning in early July, and supplies will be delivered to LINC August 8.  Any questions can be directed to Bette Hammond, 480-983-1604. Anyone unable to shop can donate cash instead.  Thank you for your donations.
