This week's quote:
"Your outward search for God culminates in the greatest of all possible discoveries-the finding of God at the center of your own being. Life flows up from within you. E. Holmes and R.C. Barker, Richer Living

This Week's Affirmation
"Nothing can overwhelm me. My mind is serene and I am at peace. "

Reverend Maryum's Weekly Prayer

I Recognize God as the Creator
God is the One Presence and Power that creates all there is. I recognize this truth and I know I am one with the One.

Seeing the good at the center of every experience, condition, and situation allows the love, peace, and harmony of Spirit to fill me. I remember to turn toward the Divine. I run to God. Even in trying times, the necessary ideas and solutions pour through me with the answers that heal and bless every situation. Any fear of lack or limitation dissolves and is replaced by my awareness that God's Life flows from within me now and always. I abide in a consciousness of expectancy of even greater opportunities. God is my Source of health, wealth, love, and creativity, thus, I lead a happy and fulfilled life.

My heart overflows with gratitude for all that is mine. I release my word of Truth to the Law of God. It is done. And so it is. Amen

Intuitive Card Reading just for You!

I am pulling a card  from the Archangel Power Tarot   for today's wisdom

Ten of Michael

"A situation has ended, and you are finally free. New opportunities for happiness will now follow. Put the past behind you."

"There is something better waiting for you! The ways in which you've evolved have you convinced that there must be more to life (and there is!). The inward search for answers is rewarded at this time. It's time to leave the past behind and embrace a brand new you. This choice is not forced upon you, but it is of your making.

Your past experiences have been very important in helping you understand who you are. Be grateful for what you've learned, and build upon it! A relocation or change in your job or relationships is possible at this time.

Additional meaning: A journey. A spiritual quest. Doing what you know is right for you. A change of interests.

JUST A THOUGHT (or two) ABOUT THIS CARD:
What stands out from this card is: "freeing yourself from dependency"

Here's why:
Lists often end with the number 10. There's a reason. This number is  known as a symbol of the authority of God and the government of that Law on the Earth. This means that just like Spirit, there is a beginning and an end. The appearance of this number in this reading states that one situation has come to a close, therefore opening up a channel for new and wonderful things to occur.

This message also says that this is a time of silent contemplation or a review of all that has gone before. Sorta like when the team looks at the footage from a football game - you assess what worked for you and what DID NOT work.

This number of completion brings with a sense of relief. You don't have to struggle within indecision. You can exhale and go WHOOSAH!

So this is the time of tidying up the plans. Feeling freer and more trusting , you are being given an opportunity to trust that the momentum gained for all that has gone on before - that it will carry you (with a lighter heart and more positive outlook) you can trust that you are to be cared for every step of the way.

You can make this assumption because the Archangel Michael energy surrounding this card is all about that sense of mastery and the assurance that you have kicked every arse that needed kicking and that the fires have been lit too.

So what does this mean? With every closed door, another swings open. You can put your past mistakes and all the self-flagellation devices aside. The love of the very universe is holding you in its awesome arms.

Take a bow. Wipe the sweat off the brow. Happiness is up around the bend.

Thank Heavens the ordeal is coming to a close. As the days of autumn give way to the deepening stillness of winter - use this completion time to align yourself with your heart's desires and making them come through into your experience.

Meditation. Getting crafty. Artistic expression. Spending time in slowed down ways that support the nervous system and your precious heart.

Say no to drama and rely upon the divine within to point the way out that you need to go. The key to activating this loving energy of completion is to come to a place of peace within. Let bygones be gone.

Sayonara bad times. Hello good times.

So here's an affirmation to help us say "So Long Past, Hello Yummy Future":

"I am courageous even though things are unknown to me."

And so it is.
And So It Is.

What Brother Ernie said:

Chapter 1 - Steering Thought Prevents Life Wrecks

We build our future, thought by thought.
Or good or bad, and know it not ---
Yet so the universe is wrought.
Thought is another name for fate,
Chose, then, thy destiny, and wait ---
For love brings love, and hate brings hate.
--- Ella Wheeler Wilcox

A CERTAIN man of no great learning, so runs an old legend, fell heir to a ship. He knew nothing of the sea, nothing of navigation or engineering, but the notion seized him to take a voyage and command his own ship.

The ship was gotten under way, the self-appointed captain allowing the crew to go ahead with their usual duties, as the multiplicity of operations confused the amateur navigator. Once headed out to sea, however, the work grew simpler, and the captain had time to observe what was going on. As he strolled on the forward deck, he saw a man turning a big wheel, now this way, now that.

"What in the world is that man doing?" he asked.

. "That's the helmsman. He is steering the ship."

"Well, I don't see any use in his fiddling away there all the time. There's nothing but water ahead, and I guess the sails can push her forward. When there's land in sight, or a ship coming head on, there'll be time enough to do steering. Put up all the sails and let her go."

The order was obeyed, and the few survivors of the wreck that followed had cause to remember the fool captain who thought a ship steered herself.

You say no such man ever existed, and you are right. That isn't admitting that no such foolishness exists, however.

You wouldn't be so foolish, would you?

Think a moment.
Are you not in command of something more delicate, more precious, than any ship --- your own life, your own mind?

How much attention are you giving to the steering of that mind? Don't you let it go pretty much as it will? Don't you let the winds of anger and passion blow it hither and thither? Don't you let chance friendships, chance reading, and aimless amusement sway your life into forms you never would have deliberately chosen?

Are you really captain of your own ship, driving it to a sure harbor of happiness, peace, and success? If you are not, would you not like to become such a master of the situation? It is simpler than you perhaps think, if you will but realize certain fundamental truths and put to work your own better nature. To tell you how, and to direct your efforts is the object of this series of little talks on the use of thought in life-forming.
Considering that mind governs everything in our world, that force has been singularly neglected and misunderstood. Even when tribute has been paid to its power, it has been treated as something unalterable, a tool that could be used if one was born with the genius to do so. Of recent years, the control of thought, and its use to modify character already formed, to change even external surroundings, or at least their effect on one's self, and to bring about health, happiness, and success, have been more and more studied and understood.

Food for Thought...

Louise Hay on How To Overcome Your Fears
Trusting the Power Within

Fear is becoming rampant on the planet. We can see it every day in the news. Fear is a lack of trust in ourselves, and because of this, we don't trust Life. We don't trust that we're being taken care of on a higher level, so we feel we must control everything from the physical level. Obviously, we're going to feel fear because we can't control everything in our lives.
Trust is what we learn when we want to overcome our fears. It's called "taking a leap of faith" and trusting in the Power within that's connected to Universal Intelligence. Remember, the Power that supplies our breath is the same Power that created the Universe.

You're one with all of Life. The more you know how to love yourself and trust Life, the more that Life will love you, support you, and guide you. You can trust in that which is invisible, instead of trusting only in the physical, material world. I'm not saying that we do nothing, yet if we have trust, we can go through life much easier. We need to trust that we're being taken care of, even though we're not physically in control of everything that's happening around us.

Fear limits our minds. People have so much fear about getting sick or becoming homeless or so many other things. Anger is fear that has become a defense mechanism. It protects us, yet it would be so much more powerful if we stop reevaluating fearful situations in our minds and love ourselves through the fear. We're at the center of everything that happens in our lives. Every experience, every relationship, is the mirror of a mental pattern that we have inside us.

One of my favorite writers, Susan Jeffers, has a marvelous CD called Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. In it, she states: "If everybody feels fear when approaching something totally new in life-yet so many are out there doing it despite the fear-then we must conclude that fear is not the problem." She goes on to say that the real issue is not the fear, but how we hold the fear.

At any moment you have the opportunity of choosing love or fear. In moments of fear, I remember the sun. It's always shining even though clouds may obscure it for a while. Like the sun, the One Infinite Power is eternally shining its light upon me, even though clouds of negative thinking may temporarily obscure it. I choose to remember the Light. And you can, too. Feel secure in the Light. When the fears come, choose to see them as passing clouds in the sky, and let them go on their way.

Affirm: I am not my fears. It is safe for me to live without guarding and defending myself all the time. When I feel afraid, I open my heart and let the love dissolve the fear.

Love is the opposite of fear. The more we're willing to love and trust who we are, the more we attract those qualities to ourselves. When we're on a streak of really being frightened or upset or worried or not liking ourselves, isn't it amazing how everything goes wrong in our lives? It's the same when we really love ourselves. Everything starts to go on a winning streak, and we get the green lights and the parking spaces. We get up in the morning and the day flows beautifully.

We need to love ourselves so that we can take care of ourselves. We have to do everything we can to strengthen our hearts, our bodies, and our minds. We must turn to the Power within, find a good spiritual connection, and really work on maintaining it.

Here are some of my favorite affirmations for releasing fears. Give them a try:

I am willing to release my fears.
I live and move in a safe and secure world.
I free myself from all destructive fears and doubts.
I accept myself and create peace in my mind and heart.
I rise above thoughts that attempt to make me angry or afraid.
I release the past with ease and trust the process of life.
I am willing to release the need for this protection.
I am now willing to see only my magnificence.
I have the power to make changes.
I am always divinely protected.
And so it is!
