Their renewable energy practice headed out of their Toronto office is led by Jen Aitchison, where they deliver leading expertise and over 20 years’ experience managing renewable risks. They employ skilled professionals with expertise in the domestic and global marketplace specific to the renewable space as a specialized market niche.
Jen has been acknowledged for fundamentally changing the insurance landscape for renewable energy and combining risk management with market-based solutions for win-win results. With over 18 years in the insurance industry with the last 11 years focused on renewable energy, she provides strategic insight to her clients that allow for best in class risk assessment, management and insurance placements at a fair cost often commenting on contracts, warranties and lending agreements for the best results for her clients. Jen is a founding member of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), won the 2015 Canadian Solar Industry Association’s President’s Award for chairing the PV Fire Safety committee including release of the Fire Safety Manual. She currently serves on the Board of Energy Storage Canada, and TREC SolarShare’s governance committee and was previous President and board chair of Touchstone Youth Shelter. She was also featured by Women’s Post as Woman of the Week as one of the leading environmentalists supporting risk management and mentoring women entering the field.
