Dear Members of CACM:

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Thomas Freeley has been appointed the new President & CEO of CACM, effective October 1, 2018.

Tom’s industry experience and expertise aligns with the organization’s vision, values, governing doctrines and policies for community managers. CACM is poised for major member expansion and development of advanced education and certification programs. The Board believes that Tom’s unique skills make him the right person to lead CACM forward.

Tom has an impressive and proven track record as a leader in the community management industry, including his previous role as Executive Vice President for Packard Management Group. Prior to his career at Packard Management, he has occupied senior leadership roles such as a Chief Executive Officer for two management firms, a senior general manager supervising luxury high rise communities, and an on-site general manager for a large scale community with 7,600 units and 30,000 residents. 

Phyllis Harkins, Chair of the CACM Search Committee says, “Tom is clearly the leader for CACM’s future and he has the unanimous support of the Board of Directors. His experience includes the Chief Operating Officer for an event planning company and Chair of a legislative action committee, monitoring impact of statewide legislation to community management activities.”

“The California Association of Community Managers (CACM) is known as the premiere association for quality California specific education and certification for community association managers and management companies” says Tom. “I am honored to have been chosen to lead this superior organization to the next level. Exciting things are going to happen at CACM.”  

 “With 28 years of broad-based entrepreneurial experience and executive leadership success, Tom is accomplished in bringing to CACM relationship building, brand marketing, corporate expansion, and strong communication skills,” stated Carra Clampitt, Chair of CACM. “His proven strategic, analytic, and business development abilities are important qualities he will contribute as the new CEO.”
