Raven Report: February 24, 2021
Happy Valentine's Day!

The warmth in our hearts has melted the winter snows, and students were able to celebrate their return to school with a belated Valentine's exchange and a special carline treat from SPO!

We love our Summit family, and we're so happy to be back together in school!

Summit Swim Team Competes at State!
Summit freshman Maren B. along with her relay teammates Anna, Maggie, and Emerson made waves in the St. Peter’s pool at the State Meet last Saturday!

The 4x200 Free Relay Team finished 13th, and the Summit/NCA team finished 15th overall. We are so proud of all these ladies, and congratulations to Maren for a PHENOMENAL freshman season!
It's Coming... Spirit Week!
We've got spirit, yes we do! Every year, we celebrate our Summit Pride in the week leading up to Spring Break with a special theme each day. This year, we are celebrating all the wonderful things about 2020 (hear us out!).

Monday, March 8th: Blue and Gold Day
Kicking off our school spirit with a classic: Blue and Gold Day! Wear your Summit Pride on your sleeve in our school colors, Summit spirit wear, Summit athletics gear - show the world why you’re proud to be a Raven! We’re in this together, and these colors never go out of style!

Tuesday, March 9th: Zoom Day
You knew we had to do it. Zoom Day! If 2020 could be summed up in a word, it’s Zoom. We’re taking back the best part of Zooming by dressing in your professional best on top and dressing for comfort (as long as it’s school appropriate) on bottom. Go crazy! The world will never know! Except on Tuesday.

Wednesday, March 10th: Wacky Wednesday
But we didn’t always dress to impress… Sometimes things got a little… wacky. Wacky outfit, wacky hair, don’t care! We hope you didn’t get around to organizing all your closets! Embrace quarantine fashion and let your creativity shine on this day!

Thursday, March 11th: Throwback Thursday
Did you remember that 2020 was the start of a new decade? Of course not! Who had time to celebrate? Well, we are now! Thursday will be a throwback day to dress in the style of your favorite decade. Fedora, flapper dress, poodle skirt, bell-bottoms, grunge plaid (hey, it was a style), you name it! Take us back to pre-pandemic times with your savvy sartorial sense.

Friday, March 12th: Furry Friends Friday
If there was one great thing about 2020, it was how much time we got to spend with our pets. Today, celebrate your furry friend by dressing up as your favorite animal, wearing shirts or caps or denim vests emblazoned with your favorite dog or cat breed, or if you happen to have your actual pet’s face on a shirt, now is your time! Bring a picture of your pet for a mini “pet parade” to share with your friends! Also, don’t forget about Dogs of Carline… who will bring the first cat?!

We can’t wait to see all the unique interpretations of these themes during Spirit Week! Get creative. Do some research. And most importantly, have fun. It’s what being a Raven is all about!
