All Saints' Sunday
November 3, 2019

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

You are invited to submit names to the church office of your deceased loved ones to be remembered on All Saints' Sunday.  Call 706-865-9680 and leave a message or email rechurch1755@gmail.com.

Christians throughout the world celebrate All Saints' Day in honor of all the saints, both known and unknown. In most Protestant churches, it is celebrated on the first Sunday of November. Protestants regard all Christians, both past and present, as saints. As we solemnly remember all those who have died in the past year, we also focus on Christ's victory over death. While the festival acknowledges the reality of death, we emphasize our hope in the Resurrection and our place in the "communion of saints."

During the All Saints' Sunday services at 8:15 and 10:30, we will remember those members of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection who have been received into the Church Triumphant during the past calendar year.

A note from Colley Case:
When you shop at Ingles grocery stores, you can help Resurrection Preschool.  If we have your name and 12-digit Advantage number, then every time you show your card at Ingles, a small percentage of your purchase will be donated to the school for educational materials at no cost to you.  Last year, we were able to purchase $800 worth of learning materials.  Please fill out the form that will be available at the church or in your mailbox.  This form must be completed every year to keep the donation active.  If you have questions, call Cassie at 706-865-9682.  Thanks!

No youth group this Sunday, Nov. 3rd

All youth need to come every Sunday in November (10, 17, 24) to learn and rehearse the song we will perform for the bishop on Dec. 1st.  Bailey White will be leading us. We meet at 9:30.

All confirmation candidates need to attend confirmation preparation class with Father Scott on November 10th, 17th, 24th at 9:30 a.m.

Are You Being Called?

"He shall call upon me, and I will answer Him."  Psalm 91:15a

If you feel called to serve on the Vestry, please contact Fr. Scott or a  Vestry Member.

Our world is hurting, and we must come together to sow the love of Jesus in a broken world. What does Love in Action look like? Together, we can respond to living into our call to serve Jesus and love as He loves the unwelcome, the disenfranchised, the lost, and the found.

Join Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry, the Royal Wedding Preacher, and Bishop Rob Wright of the Diocese of Atlanta, and Episcopalians, friends, and seekers who are following the call to open their hearts, minds, and doors to the concerns of our state and country, especially people who feel vulnerable and unwelcome.

Presiding Bishop Curry has stirred the whole church to take its place in The Way of Love: the community of people who follow Jesus and form loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, their neighbors, and the environment.

All are invited. All are welcome.
Come experience Love in Action.

All attendees registered before Nov. 1 will be guaranteed seating at ReviveATL.
After Nov. 1, seating is not guaranteed.
