The Battle of Municipalities
Calling ALL Palmetto Bay Gamers. Super SMASH Brothers Ultimate Virtual Gaming Tournament is back by popular demand!

Here's the twist. Are you ready to represent your municipality?

This friendly competition will be a ONE DAY tournament on August 21, 2020 at 5 p.m. between Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay residents. Which municipality will have the best players?

This virtual gaming tournament is open to children ages 8-17 years old and is open for Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay residents only. Parents must complete the form and agree to waivers. The deadline to register is Tuesday, August 18th at 5 pm. Hurry because space is limited to only 32 participants and you don't want to be left out!

The tournament will be live streamed on the Village's YouTube channel.


Parents/players will receive a reminder email with instructions, along with the tournament bracket the week of August 17th. There will also be a scheduled Webex meeting that week to review tournament rules and answer questions parents/players may have. Details will be provided to those r egistered .

MDCPS Will Start 2020-21 School Year Remotely
MDCPS WILL START THE SCHOOL YEAR REMOTELY ON AUGUST 31ST

Reopening of Schools Important Dates:

August 24-28 - Parent & Student Orientation

August 31- First Day of School (virtually)

September 30- Reassessment of COVID-19 conditions

October 5 - Target date to pivot to schoolhouse model (based on local conditions)

Yoga Offered at Thalatta Estate
"Yoga by the Bay" is CANCELLED this Sunday due to the weather.

"Yoga by the Bay" is being held at Thalatta Estate this summer on a limited basis. Two sessions per day, one at 9:30 am and the other at 10:45 am will be held on:
  • August 23rd
  • September 6th and 20th.
