These are the three aspects of making choices that our families most often influence in unpredictable (and often unhelpful) ways.
Goals and Values. These include the big picture of what you want in your life, and how you choose to make choices.
State. The way you think and feel at a given moment filters the thoughts you will have and the consequences you will foresee.
Memory. The way we make choices and construct strategies for reaching goals depends on our experience. We depend on what we have learned in the past to help us predict what will happen in the future as the result of our choices.
