Warm December Wishes

Seasons Greetings!

We would like to take a moment in this festive season to thank you for being a part of the Emerson community. With your help, in the past year we have held 216 art education classes, hosted 16 changing exhibits featuring 77 artists, guided 903 students through our Schools in the Gallery program, facilitated 754 community events, and served as home to 58 arts & culture-related businesses.

These are just a few of the things we have accomplished together. Imagine what we can accomplish in 2020!

We invite you to stop by the Wishing Tree in the Emerson's front entryway to share your wish for the year.

Wishing you warm and happy holidays,
Susan, Renée, Alissa, Erik, Mike, Tamara, & Mira

Celebration of the Arts
Scotland!
F riday, January 24  | 6pm
The Celebration of the Arts is bringing the lively culture of Scotland to the Emerson with our very own version of a "Burns Nicht Feast."

Each year all of Scotland turns out to celebrate the birth of Robert Burns a renowned Scottish poet. The celebration includes a feast, whiskey, bagpipes, robust toasts, laughter, and jovial readings of Robert Burns popular writings.

Dust off your favorite Burns poetry, air out your best tartan, and join us for an evening of grand entertainment, Scotch Whiskey tastings, delicious food, quick draw artists, live & silent auctions, laughter and robust toasts. This year's auction includes artworks from more than 50 Montana artists, generous gift baskets from local businesses, overnight whitewater rafting adventures, AND the trip of a lifetime to Scotland!

JEWEL BOX GALLERY

December Artist - HelenP* Donvan

During a travel time in Bali, I was gifted with the Batik style of painting on fabric. Whenever possible I choose to immerse all my senses in our great outdoors.

Often I create on silk, a long, narrow format which imposes its limitations and challenges yet offers opportunities for a unique viewpoint.  These silk pieces are
panoramas of our natural world that may displayed or worn. They  are the perfect accessory for all occasions.

I am grateful for the opportunity the Jewel Box Gallery is giving me to interact within our community and meet new and fabulous folks.
Looking forward to meeting you in one of my workshops, in my studio, or on location!

 Lang-Price Studio #205

The Lang-Price studio #205 is comprised of two old friends, Roger Lang and Caroline Price. They enjoy the inspirational community of the Emerson Cultural Center, and they welcome visitors any time.

Roger Lang renewed his passion for oil painting after 32 years of tech work and ranching. He is drawn to subjects and places that are dear to his heart.

Caroline's latest focus is watercolor, although she enjoys pencil, pastel, and acrylic and her subjects are fish and fly fishing flies. She reproduces her paintings into note cards and 5x7 prints and is currently selling her note cards at Heyday! and Cello on Main St., and also at Tart in both Bozeman and Big Sky.
