Spring Musical Auditions
The Spring Musical this year will be:
Giants in the Sky!
Auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 18 (for first graders) and Thursday, December 19 (for grades 2-6). A limited amount of participants can be taken. A signup genius will go live on
Monday
, December 16th at 1 pm. Go to
signupgenius.com
and search for jaimecastle@me.com.
Check out the music and story
here
. Students auditioning will be asked to sing a 30-60 second snippet of a song. They will also read some lines from the musical. The hope is that by having the auditions before break, the students can then look over the songs and their lines over break to have a familiarity with it making them ready to go come January when rehearsals start. Rehearsals will be after school on
Wednesdays
on the gym stage from 2:30-4:30. Your child will have a set schedule and will not have to be present at every rehearsal. The fee is $115. The show will be April 9th and 19th at 7 pm and we will have a long rehearsal over spring break if you can plan to be in town on March 27th.

Love Tree
From now until Dec. 17th, Hyde Park School will be collecting gifts to help make this holiday season special for families in our community. Each ornament has a description of the recipient and gift suggestions that are wants, needs, things to wear, or things to read.
Please return wrapped gifts to the office with ornaments attached
no later than Dec. 17th
.
Thank you for helping us spread love and joy this holiday season and year round!

Save The Dates!
If you are interested in learning more about how you can help with the Spring Celebration planning, please join us at
Oakley Wines
on
Wednesday, January 8th
from
6:30-8:30pm
.
This event is Hyde Park School’s largest fundraiser for the year. All funds raised from this event will directly impact our children by bridging the gap between CPS funding and the needs of our students.
Remember that there are LOTS of different roles, suiting anyone’s interests / time constraints. Some include seeking donations from local businesses, creating raffle baskets, helping on the day of the event, and many other options. We always have a fun group of volunteers!
Spring Celebration 2020 will take place on
Friday, April, 17th
at
Madtree Brewing!

Basketball Support
Don’t forget, your Eagles take the court every weekend. Our home games are played at Silverton Paideia and we would love to see you there dressed in all BLUE! Go Eagles.
Eagle of the Week
This week is a little different! Instead of recognizing an awesome student athlete, I would like to recognize a group of amazing parent volunteers who not only keep our athletic program running, but push us to be better and do more. The amount of work that happens in the background to organize and coordinate registrations, home games, field coordination is simply amazing. And on top of all of the day to day activities, they don’t hesitate to take on major improvement projects and are always willing to answer the call to help. THANK YOU to our Sport Coordinators and Athletic Booster Board:
Soccer Coordinator – Kevin Hoffman
Basketball Coordinator – Jessica Leimbach
Baseball Coordinator – Joe Beckman
