This is a picture of the sun

Just in case someone needs to see it, for reference.

This weekend was beautiful, and it was a blessing to have so much sunlight to return. Students were troopers this week, but two days of indoor recess is not what God intended in the original Garden of Eden, certainly!

Thanks to Mr. Gibbons, Mr. Ennis, Mr. Shaw, and others for all the set-up and facilities transition to allow for students to move around and to create their joyful noise.

These students are neither asleep, nor casually reading. They are rehearsing their lines for the spring drama production of "Winnie the Pooh." Mr. Gibbons directs the movement on stage.

Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Moctezuma loves taking turns working with students one-on-one. K5 is a year in which students grow so very much -- physically and academically --between August and May.

Latin 6 students compete for correct answers, as Mrs. Sorey substitutes for the day. Rome may not have been built in a day, but Latin answers were generated in seconds!

Thanks for all the support for this week's BBQ fundraiser!

Friday, the campus was abuzz with activity and as aromatic as a backyard grilling party, with plates of barbecue being handed out and shipped out. MAC thanks to all the volunteers and those helping to sell. Funds go to support athletics and other programs.
 Deadline looms to order yearbooks!

Capture many of the year's best memories and poses! The yearbook team is almost finished with the book, to keep 2019-20 fresh for years to come.

One down, rest of the season to go
The girls' varsity soccer team played its first game Friday.

A cold, constant wind sent the fans huddling under blankets in the bleachers, but the team had some hot streaks on the field. The Lady Mariners scored two goals in the first half against Westminster-Catawba, and eventually won 3-0.

The team plays a home game in Gastonia Monday.
