Join Joy Marzolf, from The Joys of Nature, on Zoom to see what you can find in one of Wellesley’s 15 vernal pools. From fairy shrimp to damselflies, green frogs and painted turtles, learn about these seasonal pools and the many creatures that might inhabit them. Designed for children of all ages. Pre-registration is required.
Join Piyush Khopkar, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, in an interactive Zoom event. Learn about Mars and the newest NASA rover Perseverance's landing and operations on the red planet. Make your own Mars Rover using tangram shapes and do a hands on physics experiment at home. Best for ages 5+. Registered patrons can pick up a library Mars Rover kit starting on Monday, April 12th. Do you know what a coywolf is? Join Bob Michelson as he shows some incredible photos of these coyote breeds and teaches you how to identify if you might have one in your backyard! New England coywolves are larger than their western coyote cousins and look like a large German Shepherd. Best for ages 7+ Register below with email to receive the Zoom link for the event.

Join Ms. Eva over Zoom for some rip-roaring reading fun - the 4th-6th Grade Book Club! 4th - 6th graders in the area will gather to discuss favorite characters, fascinating themes, and just chat together about some good books. This month we will be discussing The Wild Book by Margarita Engle. You can read the book now online here or stop by the library to pick up a copy.
