IPUL's E-News for August 14, 2020
Here are the highlights of our recent activity online. Not all everything is included due to timeliness. If an advertised event already took place, we've left it off.
IPUL Is Here For You!

The best method to reach us is through our website:

We monitor our intake phone line several times a day, and will try to respond to any request there within 24 hours.

For questions that are not about something in our scope of work, you can still leave a phone message as above, or send us an email at parents@ipulidaho.org - this account will be monitored daily, but is not as heavily monitored as the main intake systems.
We keep constantly updating our COVID-19 page with new information as it becomes available: https://ipulidaho.org/covid-19-information
Internet Privacy & Safety Tips
In a time when our kids are spending a LOT of time online, this is important information to have from the Idaho Anti-Trafficking Coalition. Talk to your kids about Internet privacy and safety!

ADA 30 Idaho Celebration
We shared several things relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act this week. Starting off with the ADA 30 Idaho Website
We also shared the Accessibility Coffee Break

Join members of the Idaho Digital Accessibility Consortium and the Idaho Assistive Technology Project for a series of Zoom Workshops focused on different techniques for making social media posts more accessible.
The first workshop was held on Tuesday, July 21, and there will be a new workshop every other week through the end of October.
An ASL interpreter, and captions, are provided. If you need additional
accommodations, please contact us before the start of each event.

Lunch With LeAnn Every Wednesday
We Also shared news of the Weekly Live "Lunch with LeAnn" program:

LeAnn Naillon, Assistant Director for LINC, hosts a weekly live program called “Lunch with LeAnn” every Wednesday starting at 12:00 pm on the LINC Facebook page and Idaho Hands Around The Capitol Facebook page.

LeAnn is interviewing our sponsors for ADA30Idaho, celebrating 30 years of the ADA. Her guest on August 19th is Tammy Ray, who recently retired from managing the Idaho Home Choice Program for 9 years.

Join LeAnn and Tammy for a discussion on how this program can help Idahoans with disabilities and older individuals move from an institutional setting such as a skilled nursing facility into their own home with community based supports.

This live event includes sign language.

The interview is recorded and can be found on the ADA30Idaho YouTube channel with captions. #WednesdayWisdom #ADA30 #ADA30Idaho #Olmstead
