State Chamber Update
We have all seen stories about personal wealth and how it is concentrated and distributed. But what about the geographic concentration of our economy?  Here is an interesting story from Bloomberg this morning that points to the concentration of America’s economy in 31 counties. It’s worth noting that the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. areas are jurisdictions with great economic concentration, and their proximity to Delaware is helpful. The story also identifies industry sectors that are decentralizing but staying within proximity to these economic centers.
On Tuesday we’ll see housing start data for the month of November, as well as industrial production for last month. Thursday brings us an early read on economic activity for December in our region by the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank, and November economic indicator data. We close the week with personal income data and consumer spending results from November, as well as core inflation numbers.

REMINDER: The deadline is this Friday, December 20 to take the Federal Reserve Small Business Credit Survey. We need your input!
